HEROES SERVING OVERSEAS AND HERE AT HOME

FOR I WILL SURELY DELIVER YOU, AND YOU SHALL NOT FALL BY THE SWORD; BUT YOUR LIFE SHALL BE AS A PRIZE TO YOU, BECAUSE YOU HAVE PUT YOUR TRUST IN ME, SAYS THE LORD.  JEREMIAH 39:18

Remember those serving right now, rather it be overseas, or here in the U.S.A.  Include these men and women in your prayers today.

PRAY FOR OUR WOUNDED HEROES.

Cpl Kris Freeman, a Lexington resident, was injured by a roadside bomb on June 6, 2006.  He was serving in the 2nd Recon Battalion, B Company , USMC.  He was stationed in Iraq at the time of the incident.  Kris was flown from Baghdad to Germany, and then on to Bethesda Naval Hospital.  After a few surgeries, Kris was flown here to a local hospital, and will be able to do his rehab right here at home.  From the minute Kris's family was notified, prayers were lifted up on his behalf. Many people have been praying for Kris from points all over the world. His mom has said more than once that she gives the Lord all the credit for the progress that Kris has made.  The Lord was protecting Kris during the explosion, as his injuries could have been much worse.  His recovery to this point has been amazing. Kris is a motivated man and knows Christ as his Lord and Savior.  With Kris's determination, the prayers of God's people, and the Lord's intervention, Kris is well on the way to a full recovery.  Please remember to pray for Kris, his family, and all the other wounded military.  It is because of their sacrfice that we continue to enjoy a free country.  UPDATE** - Thank you for your prayers.  Though Kris is not at 100%, he has returned to his base in the USA to rejoin his unit.  He will appreciate your continued prayers as he continues to regain his strength and heal.
