HOST A CARE PACKAGE PARTY!!

Are you looking for a service project?  Do you belong to a group that would like to do something special for the holidays?  Maybe you are just looking for an excuse to throw a party!

Why not consider hosting a CARE PACKAGE PARTY for the troops?
 

There are many different ways to host a care package party!  Here are just a few ideas:

1.  Ask your group members and friends to choose item(s) from the suggestion list.  Everyone brings something different to the event.  At the event, items are organized and packed for mailing.  We will do the mailing for you if you are located in the Central Kentucky area!   If you are not in our area, you can mail the boxes overseas yourself. 

2.  Ask your group members to make a monetary donation.  Have a couple of people do the shopping before the event takes place.  At the event, items can be packed for mailing. 

3.  Ask your group members to bring a monetary donation or care package donation to the party.  Send your tax deductible donations to us and we will do the rest.  We can shop, pack, and mail the packages.

4.  Hold a silent auction and put the proceeds towards care packages.  We will take care of everything else!

5.  Come up with another fun idea to get your group together.  We welcome new ideas and suggestions!

Do you find that you don't have military addresses?  Often people contact us asking for addresses.  We are not allowed to give out military names and addresses for security reasons.  The best way to find soldiers in your area is to ask within your circles of influence.  Ask at church, school, work, in the neighborhood, etc.  There is usually somebody with a loved one deployed that would love to share their military address so you could send a box to their hero.

Inclement Weather Policy

In the event of inclement weather, Military MIssions Inc will follow Fayette County School closings.  If Fayette County Schools are closed, all Military Missions Inc events, meetings, and activities will be cancelled as well.  This will also include evening activities scheduled on any days that school is cancelled due to inclement weather.  Please check with local news networks for up to date information on cancellations.
